Last updated: August 10, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Amphibian Digital LLC ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and discloses information when you use the 1000.beauty website (the "Service"), and tells you about your privacy rights. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
Information we collect
Information you provide to us
- Contact form. If you use our contact form, we receive the name, email address, and message you submit. We use this information solely to respond to your enquiry.
- Payment information. If you pay a listing fee, payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe, our payment provider. We do not collect, store, or process your card details. Stripe may collect billing information from you and handles it in accordance with Stripe's Privacy Policy.
Information collected automatically
- IP address. We record IP addresses to operate the Service, to protect it from abuse and automated access, and to power interactive features such as the "like" button on product listings. When you like a product, your IP address is stored alongside the like so that we can recognise and display your previous likes.
- Usage data. We use an analytics script (Ahrefs) to collect aggregated information about how visitors use the Service, such as pages visited, referring pages, browser type, and device information. This helps us understand and improve the Service.
- Cookies. We use a session cookie to operate the Service (for example, to remember the state of your visit). You can instruct your browser to refuse cookies, though some parts of the Service may not function properly without them.
We do not use advertising cookies and do not show third-party advertising on the Service.
How we use your information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Service;
- To respond to your enquiries through the contact form;
- To process and review paid listing submissions (via our payment provider, Stripe);
- To protect the Service from fraud, abuse, and automated access;
- To understand usage patterns and improve the visitor experience.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Sharing of information
We share information only in the following circumstances:
- With service providers. We use third-party providers (such as Stripe for payments and Ahrefs for analytics) that process data on our behalf to operate the Service. These providers are bound by their own privacy policies and are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes beyond what is necessary to provide their services to us.
- For legal reasons. We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (for example, a court or government agency), or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
- For business transfers. In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
Third-party links
The Service contains links to third-party websites (for example, "GET IT" links to brand or retailer websites). This Privacy Policy does not apply to those websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of any third-party websites, and we encourage you to review the privacy policies of any site you visit.
Retention of your information
We retain contact form messages as long as needed to respond to and follow up on your enquiry. Like data (including the associated IP address) is retained as part of the Service's operation. Usage data is retained in aggregate for analytics purposes. We will retain information to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
Your rights
Depending on your location (including if you are a resident of the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom), you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you;
- Request the correction of inaccurate information;
- Request the deletion of your personal information;
- Object to or request restriction of certain processing;
- Request a copy of your information in a structured, machine-readable format;
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us. We may ask you to verify your identity before responding to your request. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority if you believe we have not handled your information properly.
Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us, and we will take steps to remove that information.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the information we hold. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
